Used car sessions at the NADA Show 2022

CARY, North Carolina –

Michael Strahan was perhaps the NFL’s most dominant defensive player of the 2000s. He’s a Super Bowl winner and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

But he is also a Renaissance man. These days, Strahan juggles the duties of journalist, broadcaster, host/host and businessman.

While they may have no bagging record like Strahan — who is among the keynote speakers at the 2022 NADA Show, which returns live March 10-13 in Las Vegas — franchise car dealerships can probably relate to the multifaceted work of wearing many hats.

Often, a dealer is an automotive technical concierge, repair center, warranty advisor and sales center all rolled into one. Not to mention the myriad tasks involved in running a dealership itself, with all of its moving parts.

This includes the used department, which is often a complex operation in itself, given the current demands and size of the used car market.

Franchise and independent dealerships are estimated to have sold a total of 21.4 million used vehicles last year, up from 19.8 million in 2020, according to Cox Automotive. This year they are expected to sell even more at 22.1 million.

With that in mind, here are some sessions at NADA Show 2022 that focus on the used car segment, according to the convention’s website.

“We bring education to the show! Debuting at NADA Show 2022, the Dealer Learning Lab offers 20-minute TED-style talks with presenters in a casual setting on the show floor. Take advantage of this opportunity to engage, discover and connect with industry leaders on a variety of hot topics, NADA said on its convention website.

More information about the show and the sessions can be found at

Coming back to Strahan, his keynote address will be on March 12. Other keynote speakers include:

  • Dana Perino, FOX News anchor (March 11)
  • U.S. Army Staff Sergeant (Retired) Travis Mills (March 13)
  • Paul Walser, President of NADA 2021

Along the same lines, the National Auto Auction Association is holding what has traditionally been its spring business meeting and move it to NADA Show 2022.

The meeting – which has been renamed Total Access – will be held in Las Vegas during the NADA convention in March and will include sessions on electric vehicles, the chip shortage, recruiting and more.
