2022 Honda CBR150R Repsol Edition now in Malaysia, priced at RM13,499, limited edition of 800 units


A model variant for the CBR150R is now on the Malaysian market, the 2022 Honda CBR150R Repsol Edition. circulation, insurance and registration.

The Repsol CBR150R edition will be a limited production run of 800 units and will be sold alongside the current color schemes of Matte Charcoal Gray Metallic and Candy Scintillate Red. For 2021, the Honda CBR150R is priced at RM12,499 with its closest competitor in the market, the recently launched Yamaha R15M priced at RM14,998 and the ‘base’ 2021 Yamaha R15 model tagged at RM11,988.

No other changes for the CBR150R with power coming from an EFI-powered liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder mill displacing 150cc. Advertised power is 16.09 hp at 9,000 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque are produced at a peak of 7,000 rpm, which compares to 19.04 hp and 14.7 Nm of torque of the Yamaha R15.

Equipped with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch, the CBR150R sends power to the rear wheel via a chain. 12 liters of fuel are carried in the tank and the CBR150R weighs 139kg, while the seat height is set at 788mm.

Standard equipment on the CBR150R is dual-channel ABS, with a single hydraulic disc brake front and rear. The suspension is done with an inverted telescopic front fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.

The wheel size of the CBR150R is 17 inches, the front wearing 100/80 rubber while the rear gets a 130/70 tire, with LED lighting throughout and an LCD dash. Stock of the CBR150R Repsol Edition is expected to arrive at authorized Boon Siew Honda dealerships in Malaysia this week.
